What is a Buddha Bowl?
A Buddha Bowl is a nourishing one-bowl meal featuring artfully arranged portions of grains, vegetables, greens, protein, and finishing touches such as nuts, seeds, or a flavorful dressing. While not tied to Buddha, these bowls are a delicious, easy way to create a quick, healthy and flavourful meal. Vegetarian options will be available.
What your Buddha Bowl will include:
Bases: Quinoa, wild brown rice, sweet potato
Protein: Local fish, chicken, chickpea, black beans, tofu, hard-boiled eggs
Vegetables: Kale, spinach, broccoli, carrot, red cabbage
Additions: Seeds, nuts, fresh dressings, simple marinades
At the end of the demo, participants will build their own personalised bowls, and registered dietitian Sara Bosch de Noya, RD, will be on hand to share nutritional insights and tips for making every meal both healthy and delicious.
